[NANO] STOCK: 2nd Edition

Thu Jul 23, 2009, 1:54 PM
  • Mood: Dazed
After being away from DA for so long,
I am struggling to catch up with the
1000's of responses to my stock.

This is just a small batch of more
edits and references. There are still
many many more, so keep checking back.

PLEASE NOTE:
Use of this stock is limited to
DA USE ONLY, unless otherwise
approved by me. Use of this stock
requires you to credit me and
link back to the original. If you
use it, please send me a NOTE
(not a comment) with a link
included so I can see it and
include it here.

UPDATE: I'm not dead.

I will be honest.
I just stopped logging in entirely.
I should have warned you, left a little
'I'll be back in an hour' note...

But I am now committing to painstakingly
clearing out my inbox and responding to
your notes and comments and such.

And I'm talking about 100's of notes
and 1000's of comments.
So please please be patient with me.

I will also post some new images.

Once again, thank you for all of your
support, responses, and favorites.

If anyone could spare a subscription,
that would help me to get through
this catching up process much faster,
and I would immensely appreciate it.

ART SHOW @ SICK

Journal Entry: Thu Dec 25, 2008, 2:53 PM
  • Mood: Triumph
Last night at SICK,
five pieces from my
HUMAN PROGRESSION SERIES: [link]
was exhibited.

[NOTHING/REAL] was promoted
as the featured artist for
this event, and I took over
the main wall to showcase
the series.

Four pieces sold in total:
Creature of Emotion, the
largest central piece,
Untitled, and two copies
of Transformation.

Each image was framed by
a handmade, unique textured,
decayed-looking backdrop,
in warm tones to match the
color balance of the images
themselves.

I just have to say I am very excited,
and feel extremely honored
and equally surprised.
What a great holiday gift to [NOTHING/REAL]!

Please check out her work;
it is dark, fanciful, and
altogether amazingly detailed.

This is her interpretation,
a caricature, if you will, of me!

manifest. reflect. adjust. repeat.

Journal Entry: Mon Nov 24, 2008, 2:49 PM
  • Mood: Sentimental
In conjunction with my newest series, Body Composition....

I just wanted to comment a bit
on my personal inspiration and process.
I recently felt the weight of my own body,
I mean, a pristine awareness of it.
I was tired, dizzy, and cold.
Crawling under the covers to find shelter
in my own warmth, I felt it.
I felt skin on muscle on organ on bone on flesh.
I was inspired.
Too many individuals, for whatever reason,
get coaxed into loathing their physical manifestations,
I myself have had my trouble at times,
living with this silly weird thing we humans
call our bodies.

I encourage everyone to embrace theirs as I have,
both strengths and weaknesses alike.
